SPEC MIX® Polymer Modified Adhered Veneer Mortar (18011 and Bulk SM18011) is a technologically advanced adhered veneer mortar for use in bonding adhered manufactured stone veneer, natural thin cut stone and thin brick to a cementitious substrate. It is designed to provide excellent workability, cohesion, high bond strength, sag resistance, water resistance, efflorescence minimization, and durability.

Used For:

• The ideal solution for architects and contractors with projects where an immediate and ongoing need for mortar delivering high bond strength and sag resistance during installation is required.
• In applications where mortar joints are not utilized, such as dry stack applications, it should be used to gain additional bond strength and “pop-off” protection.

SPEC MIX® Core Fill Grout (18002 and Bulk SM18002) is a dry, preblended mix containing cementitious materials and dried aggregates formulated for superior flow to fill masonry voids for reinforcing masonry construction. Meets CSA A179 requirements.

Used For:

• Filling cells of concrete masonry units and horizontal bond beams as well as the cavities of composite masonry construction.
• Designed as a fluid, cohesive cementitious material used to bond together adjacent masonry units and steel reinforcement in the cores of the masonry units to the masonry assemblage, or to fill reinforced bond beams.

Features:

• Using SPEC MIX Core Fill Grout in conjunction with existing reinforcement will produce a structurally sound final wall system for reinforced masonry construction.

Buff 9991560, Sandstone 9991569, Tan 9991564) is a specially blended Portland cement/lime based mortar mix that, when prepared properly, will result in a mortar that conforms to the Property Specification requirements of ASTM C 270 and CSA A179 (Standard Specification for Mortar for Unit Masonry). The coloured mortar is by special order only.

Used For:

• It is appropriate for use with brick and concrete block. Properties and uses of mortar vary with specific mortar type. Each bag is stamped with the special color and the mortar mix type as specified by ASTM C270-05 and CSA A179-04.
